A souvenir photo on the Crikvenica promenade.
MomentoSnap is installed right on the Crikvenica lungomare - the long seafront promenade that runs alongside the beach in the heart of town. Step in front of the booth and the Adriatic is behind you, the pebble shore at your feet, the gentle arc of the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera stretching away on both sides. Touch the screen, pose, pay, and walk away with a printed keepsake and a free high-resolution digital copy on your phone - about fifteen seconds in total, no operator, no queue, no app to install.
- Address
- Seafront promenade (lungomare), main town beach, Crikvenica 51260, Croatia
- Open
- Every day during the beach season and beyond. The booth itself runs 24/7 - you can use it any time you reach the promenade.
How to find it
From the town centre, walk toward the sea on any of the short streets that lead down to the promenade. The main lungomare runs parallel to the beach - you'll reach it in under five minutes from anywhere in central Crikvenica.
By car: Crikvenica is directly off the A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway via the Crikvenica exit, or along the coastal road (D8) from Rijeka (about 35 km, roughly 35 to 40 minutes depending on summer traffic). Parking is available in the town centre near the beach.
By bus: direct services connect Crikvenica with Rijeka (around 45 minutes) and with other Kvarner towns including Selce, Dramalj, and Novi Vinodolski. The main bus stop is a short walk from the promenade.
Best time to come
Late afternoon, when the light softens and the Adriatic turns a deeper shade of blue. The Crikvenica beach faces roughly west, so the last two hours before sunset give you warm golden light directly on your face and the sea lit up behind you. Mornings are cooler, quieter, and still very photogenic if you prefer the promenade to yourself. The booth handles the full summer sun without a problem - midday shots work fine too.

About Crikvenica
Crikvenica sits on the Kvarner coast between Rijeka and Novi Vinodolski, sheltered from the bora wind by the Vinodol hills behind it. Its name comes from the Croatian word for church (crkva), a reference to the Pauline monastery founded here in 1412 by the Frankopan noble family - the same dynasty whose castles and fortresses dot the whole stretch of coast. That monastery building, now the Hotel Kaštel, is the oldest surviving structure in town. The mild, sheltered climate and the long pebble beach made Crikvenica one of the first places on the eastern Adriatic to develop deliberately as a health and climatic resort. Visitors were already arriving in the late 1880s for the warm sea air, and by the early twentieth century the town had hotels, a promenade, and a regular steamship connection. Today Crikvenica is still what it was a hundred years ago: a calm, family-friendly seaside town that lets the sea do most of the work.
Frequently asked
Where exactly is the MomentoSnap booth in Crikvenica?
On the seafront promenade (lungomare) next to the main town beach. Walk toward the sea from the town centre and you'll reach the promenade in a few minutes - the booth is positioned right along the waterfront.
Do I need to pay separately for the photo booth?
Yes. The booth is paid on the spot by coin or contactless card. One photo includes both a printed 4×6 copy and a free digital download via QR - no subscription, no app.
Can I take a group photo with the sea in the background?
Yes, that's exactly what the framing is set up for. A group of up to about six people fits comfortably with the Adriatic and the Crikvenica bay visible behind them. Smaller groups get more sea; larger groups can step back slightly.
Is the booth open in the evening?
The booth runs 24/7 - it's weatherproof and fully automated, so there's no closing time. The promenade is well-lit and busy most summer evenings, and a dusk or evening shot with the sea lights behind you can come out beautifully.
Is the print included in the price, or just digital?
Both are included. Every photo gives you a printed 4×6 keepsake on glossy water-resistant paper, plus a free high-resolution digital copy via a unique QR code printed on the photo itself.
How far is Crikvenica from Rijeka?
About 35 km by road - roughly 35 to 40 minutes by car via the A6 motorway or the coastal D8 road, depending on traffic. Direct buses also run between Rijeka and Crikvenica regularly throughout the day.
