A souvenir photo on the Makarska Riviera.
MomentoSnap is installed on the Makarska riva - the seafront promenade running along the harbour at the heart of the town. Stand in front of the booth and the limestone wall of Biokovo rises almost 1,800 metres directly behind you, while the Adriatic stretches out in front. Touch the screen, pose, pay, and walk away with a printed keepsake plus a free high-resolution digital copy on your phone - all in about fifteen seconds, no operator, no queue, no app to install.
- Address
- Makarska seafront promenade (Riva), near the town harbour, 21300 Makarska, Croatia
- Open
- Every day - the booth is on the open promenade and accessible at any hour. The booth itself runs 24/7 once you reach the riva.
How to find it
The Makarska riva runs along the seafront at the base of the old town. Head for the town harbour and the main promenade - the MomentoSnap booth is on the waterfront side, with Biokovo framing the skyline behind it.
If you're coming from Brela or Baška Voda to the north, follow the coastal road D8 south into Makarska and park near the harbour. From Tučepi to the south, it's about a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk along the waterfront path.
The peninsula of Sv. Petar (Saint Peter) is just a short stroll west of the harbour - a good landmark if you need one. The booth is between the harbour and the start of the peninsula walkway.
Best time to come
Late afternoon is the sweet spot. Biokovo catches warm golden light and the mountain looks at its most dramatic against the sky. The harbour fills with fishing boats coming in, the riva comes alive with the evening passegiata, and the print you take home looks nothing like a phone snapshot. Early morning is quieter and the mountain is sharp and clear before the heat haze sets in. The booth handles full Dalmatian sun all day without a problem.

While you're on the riva
The Makarska waterfront and its surroundings are worth more than a quick stop. Here are a few things worth your time once you have the photo.
Sv. Petar Peninsula
5 min walk from the harbourA pine-covered promontory with a walking path around the tip - great light at both ends of the day and a quieter view of the bay.
St Mark's Church (Crkva sv. Marka)
2 min walkThe Baroque parish church on Kačićev trg, the main square - its bell tower gives you a clear landmark wherever you are in town.
Nugal Beach
20 min walk or 5 min drive from the rivaA pebble cove reached by a steep path through the pines - calm even in August and one of the most photogenic stretches of the Riviera.
Biokovo Skywalk
35 min drive up the mountain roadA glass-floored U-shaped platform jutting over a 1,200-metre drop, with the entire Riviera visible below. Go at golden hour if you can.
About Makarska
Makarska is the main town of the Makarska Riviera, a 60-kilometre stretch of Dalmatian coast between Split and the Neretva delta. The town has been a settlement since at least Roman times - the name likely derives from the ancient Muccurum - and it was a significant Ottoman port in the 16th and 17th centuries before passing to Venetian and then Habsburg control. The defining feature of both the town and the Riviera is Biokovo, a limestone massif that forms one of the steepest coastal gradients in the Mediterranean: the mountain reaches 1,762 metres at its highest point (Sveti Jure) and drops almost vertically to the sea. The result is the postcard that defines the Makarska Riviera - turquoise water framed by an immense pale grey wall of stone.
Frequently asked
Where exactly is the MomentoSnap booth in Makarska?
On the Makarska riva - the seafront promenade along the harbour at the centre of town. Look for it on the waterfront side with Biokovo rising behind it. You'll see it from the harbour approach.
Do I need to pay separately for the photo booth?
Yes. The promenade is free to walk; the booth itself is paid on the spot by coin or contactless card. One photo includes both a printed 4×6 copy and a free digital download via QR - no separate charge for either.
Can I take a group photo?
Yes. The framing is wide enough for a group of up to about six people, with Biokovo and the Adriatic visible in the background. Move closer together if you want more of the mountain; spread out for more of the sea.
What is the weather like - will the booth work in rain?
The booth is weatherproof and designed for outdoor use in all conditions. Dalmatian summers are reliably sunny; if you do visit on a grey day, the Biokovo backdrop is still dramatic and the booth prints without a problem.
Is the print included in the price, or just the digital copy?
Both are included in a single payment. Every session gives you a printed 4×6 keepsake on glossy water-resistant paper, plus a free high-resolution digital copy via a unique QR code printed on the back.
Is the booth open at night?
Yes. The riva stays busy into the late evening in summer and the booth runs 24/7. An evening shot with the harbour lights and Biokovo silhouetted behind you makes a different kind of photo altogether.
