A souvenir photo in Podgora, under Biokovo.
MomentoSnap is installed on the Podgora seafront - the promenade running along the harbour and marina of this old fishing village on the Makarska Riviera. Stand in front of the booth and the great limestone wall of Biokovo rises steeply behind you, with the famous Galeb (Seagull) monument silhouetted on the ridge above town, while the Adriatic stretches out in front. Touch the screen, pose, pay, and walk away with a printed keepsake plus a free high-resolution digital copy on your phone - all in about fifteen seconds, no operator, no queue, no app to install.

- Podgora seafront promenade, by the harbour and marina, 21327 Podgora, Croatia

How to find it
Podgora sits about 10 kilometres south-east of Makarska along the coastal road D8. Head for the harbour and marina in the centre of the village - the MomentoSnap booth is on the waterfront promenade, with Biokovo framing the skyline behind it.
If you're coming from Makarska to the north, follow the D8 south past Tučepi and Drašnice; Podgora is well signposted and about a 15-minute drive. From the south (Igrane, Živogošće) it's the same road heading north along the water.
Podgora spreads across several small hamlets climbing the hillside, but the booth is down on the coast by the marina - the natural gathering point. Look up from there and you'll see the Galeb monument on the ridge; that's your landmark.
Best time to come
Late afternoon is the sweet spot. Biokovo catches warm golden light and the mountain looks at its most dramatic against the sky, with the Galeb monument catching the last sun on the ridge. The marina fills with returning boats, the promenade comes alive with the evening stroll, and the print you take home looks nothing like a phone snapshot. Early morning is quieter and the mountain is sharp and clear before the heat haze sets in. The booth handles full Dalmatian sun all day without a problem.

About Podgora
Podgora is an old fishing and seafaring village on the southern Makarska Riviera, tucked beneath the towering wall of Biokovo about ten kilometres from Makarska itself. Its name means simply 'under the mountain', and for centuries its people lived from the sea and from the terraced slopes above. Podgora holds a particular place in Croatian history as the cradle of the Yugoslav Navy, founded here in 1942 - a legacy marked today by the enormous Galeb (Seagull) monument, a pair of white concrete wings that spread across the ridge above the town and are visible from far out at sea. A devastating earthquake in 1962 pushed much of the population down from the old hillside hamlets to the coast, giving Podgora the twin character it has today: quiet stone villages climbing the slope, and a lively seafront of marinas, beaches and promenades below. Behind it all stands Biokovo, one of the steepest coastal mountains in the Mediterranean.
Frequently asked
Where exactly is the MomentoSnap booth in Podgora?
On the Podgora seafront promenade, by the harbour and marina in the centre of the village. Look for it on the waterfront side with Biokovo rising behind it. The Galeb monument on the ridge above is a good orientation point.
How far is Podgora from Makarska?
About 10 kilometres south-east along the coastal road D8 - roughly a 15-minute drive. Podgora is one of the string of villages that make up the southern Makarska Riviera.
Can I take a group photo?
Yes. The framing is wide enough for a group of up to about six people, with Biokovo and the Adriatic visible in the background. Move closer together for more of the mountain; spread out for more of the sea.
What is the weather like - will the booth work in rain?
The booth is weatherproof and designed for outdoor use in all conditions. Dalmatian summers are reliably sunny; if you do visit on a grey day, the Biokovo backdrop is still dramatic and the booth prints without a problem.
Is the print included in the price, or just the digital copy?
Both are included in a single payment. Every session gives you a printed 4×6 keepsake on glossy water-resistant paper, plus a free high-resolution digital copy via a unique QR code printed on the back.
Is the booth open at night?
Yes. The Podgora seafront stays busy into the late evening in summer and the booth runs 24/7. An evening shot with the marina lights and Biokovo silhouetted behind you makes a different kind of photo altogether.
